Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out with her debut as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded an award of Silver in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a Gold Medal in 2011 and the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia, who began her professional journey in 2003, won in 2012 and the 2016 World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were also held in 2016 and she took home the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko fought her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won this fight via TKO at the end of round 2. Her following two matches were staged during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her power of striking by tying Nievera by knees. Antonina accepted the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was offered the UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts which included a win against Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
